Royal milk tea pudding is one of those desserts that’s been on my to-make list since forever. It’s a really quick & simple dessert to make, with 3 ingredients only (gelatin, royal milk tea powder and milk). I asked my brother to get me 3 bags of royal milk tea powder when he visited last summer, so I still have a lot left. I enjoy making things from scratch, but because I like this powder so much, it’s an exception :) You can always make your own milk tea by steeping black tea and then adding it to milk along with some sugar. As long as you use the same gelatin to milk ratio, then you shouldn’t experience any problems!
3g gelatin leaves
3 tbspn royal milk tea powder
1/2 cup 2% milk
1. Bloom gelatin leaves in cold water for 10 minutes.
2. Place milk in a sauce pan and when it comes to a simmer, stir in the royal milk tea powder until completely dissolved.
3. Squeeze out all the water from the gelatin and add to the milk mixture.
4. Pour into 2 cups or molds of your choice and let chill until set.
