I just purchased a waffle maker last week and found time to experiment with a unique recipe yesterday. The classic waffle is round shaped, but I like the square version better as it’s cuter, lol. I made a very healthy version by using buckwheat flour and adding some green tea powder as well. I’m not gonna lie; waffles made with all-purpose flour taste better. Using buckwheat tends to create waffles and crepes that are more dry and rough, but considering its nutritional benefits, sometimes it’s worth the trade off.
Looking forward to making a dessert waffle with ice cream next ^^
