sakura macarons & sakurayu

Pink coloured macarons are always so dreamy-like. You will notice that my macarons are all pastel-coloured, because I prefer that light, almost innocent, kind of feeling.

I’ve been testing out a few sakura filling recipes for macarons, and I think I’ve got it. These pink macarons are filled with a sakura white chocolate ganache filling, and I must say, they’re quite lovely. I incorporated sakura an paste into the ganache, which I ordered from Japan. I can’t wait to introduce this new flavour onto Charming desserts’ menu in Spring!

As mentioned in a previous post, here’s a photo of sakurayu; picked cherry blossom steeped in hot water. In the background, you can see dry pickled cherry blossoms, and they have a much darker shade of pink.
